Day 6 (Sat 4/21): Phoenix Fun and Flying Home

This morning, we got up early to try to hike Phoenix's Camelback Mountain, but Saturday morning is a popular time because there was no parking! Instead, we headed over to Papago Park, where we did a short trail walk to Hole in the Rock. Then, we walked over to the Phoenix Zoo, which had tons of different animals who were active and amazingly close.

After a quick lunch, we headed back to return our vans and board our flight home to Chicago.

We had a great week of learning with so many hospitable, knowledgeable, selfless people. We pray that their advocacy and accompaniment of people in transit will continue bringing greater dignity to all people.
